As you say, I can see more of a focus on NEWS. I just can't work out why they didn't move the feature programmes which we reckon are going (The Book Show and somebody said Showbiz Weekly, Fashion Television...) to Sky One.

I think Sky News should take a completely different, sophisticated view on their presentation. Sky seems to be a bit 'sameish' in its graphics and studio. Maybe they should go for a ss.com type of studio. The graphics should be much different to how they are now or have ever been - maybe teal or light purple. Do you know what I mean?

I spoke to a tech. director at Sky News Active at the start of the year and he said when 'phase 2' as they called it, comes it it will have Fox News on it. But I would rather have it as a dedicated channel.

So... is this what we should expect.............

That one looks good, but I just think it looks a bit too fun and lively for a serious news channel.
Saying that, look at the current one.
I think it might be a square on, just with rounded corners.

well this one was inspired by the sky news student logo, and it doesnt look right as a square.

but that trailer makes me even more confident that my logo or something similar is the right logo

The problem with SS.comTV studio is that it is very small & gives that impression & doesn't have a serious air about it & is more suited to a more light-hearted channel. It's just the colour scheme & fixtures.

It is a great channel, especially when the Fleet Street writers are in the studio. They should be trying to utilise their regional team of reporters more in terms of live reports & in their sign-offs say their location instead of just (Person X, Sky Sports).

I don't think the studio looks bad, I quite like it.
I think that silly picture of a footballer has to be trashed but other than that I quite like the studio.

Will the music be kept after the relaunch? I hope so. Its the best since the original 1989-1995 theme.

Has anyone noticed that there are lots of new names doing the sports packagaes on Sky News?

Is this a sign of a major change in the way Sport will be presented after the re-launch?

I wonder if the Sport might be presented from a different studio - a la N24????

from the .com tv studios ?
