Yes. I know we have been building this up for weeks - probably months! Surely if it is as big a relaunch as we are expecting then Sky will want to make a big deal out of it and so by mid-August at the latest there should be some major publicity, ads about it - wouldn't you think?
Last time Sky News relaunched, there was a big feature about it in the Sky customer magazine - no pics of the new set, though, if I remember rightly. If this relaunch is as big as we're expecting it to be, there should at least be something similar. Don't think there were any on-screen plugs/adverts etc last time but, if this is a big relaunch (a la CNN Headline News), then maybe it will be different this time around.
I would certainly expect a lot of publicity.
In 1993 Sky News had adverts on ITV and Channel 4 (C5 obviously didn't exist), which told viewers to 'Change, to the new look Sky News'.
It was a nice trailer too and Sky love trailers!
Sky are masters of trailers, they really have to be to get the subscribers they want, so expect something big and a big feature in the Sky magazine.
