I'm not sure what I think of the new music. I know that it doesnt sound "American" as some have been saying. And its certainly not FOX NEWS CHANNEL sounding. It would be a bit more thrashy sounding. More "Alien -the movie" sounding...with the bells and metal clanging metallic sounds and such. The dancy bed is definetly British. I dont like the abrupt ending of the theme.
The questions i have is....what sorta theme should SKY NEWS have? And please be realistic....they are certainly not going to keep the same theme forever. Its all about change. Change is good. But what sorta theme should they have? Comments?

Im no expert - but big music and a THIS IS THE NEWS feel, ending in a big SKY NEWS.

D'ya get what I mean?
well of course most news stations want people to hear a reconizable theme. I hear complaints that its too american or too old-fashioned. I not sure what sorta theme will make people happpy. A really dancy-sounding techno theme or something with horns or a really sensationalistic one.
The previous Set of music Sky used was perfect, was not so bombastic, but had a recognisable tune. This new theme is more of a movie soundtrack with a tune played in strings. It doesnt fit with the current look, but that doesnt make it a bad set of musics...
The look of the channel needs to be changed to suit the music, and so it needs to be less simple, but not too harsh or bright
