Simply terrible. Doesn't match the look of the channel at all.

So does anyone know if there are more changes to come? I think c@t said there were some visual changes coming.

After the launch of the current look 2 years ago, they went on tweaking things for weeks after it launched. I guess they wont stop till they're happy.

New Music

Possibly a graphics tweak

Mid October

Well the timescale was wrong, but I guess these things change quickly. Any more news on the tweaks Mr Topic Starter? Wink

I rekon they intended to launch the music with new titles and graphics which use the symphonic feel to the music. But the graphics maybe delayed, and so they went ahead with the music launch either becuase they signed a contract for a certain date with the composer, or so they can test the new timings...

Perhaps DVEous could enlighten us on the music situation

Such reasonings are illogical.

If they had such a tight contract with the music producer, why not have an equally tight contract with those involved with the graphics?

I still think these beds are truely horrible. I don't think a new graphics package could/should make them any better. They just don't work.

I was told about the music many, many months ago and was also told that it would be used with the current gfx's.

I could be wrong, but I wouldn't hold your...well you know...

First time I heard it I thought "gameshow", something like Millionaire.

But once more it won't affect viewing nos, general journalistic viewpoint etc. etc. like some people believe...it's just a little naff thing to laugh at every 15 minutes (a bit like the people countdown over on N24)

Now that I've seen/heard the sting used to go into commercial breaks, I've got a feeling that's what they were using during Sunrise for the titles!

So maybe it was a mistake and tommorrow they'll use the same titles they have since 1pm.

I wonder if someone from sky could tell us who composed this new set of music. The previous set was by Dobs Vye

It sounds like something off a library CD I have called 'Mystery & Suspense'.

I don't like the new music on Sky News at all. It's nice enough if for a documentary or something, but as a 24 hour news channel, it does sound rather pompous and very OTT.

Perfect for Sky News then would you not say Wink Could you upload this similar sounding music you mentioned by any chance too?
