Don't forget you've got the safe area that goes around all graphics, otherwise you end up with bits chopped off as your tv won't show the full 720x576 image, bits are lost round the outside, which explains why the Labour Defection is not on the edge of the picture.
Even then, Sky's astons are slightly too big. If I've to make any I go for max font size of 20, not 40!

I forgot about the safe area. I'm just putting the finishing touches to the rest of them. The resolution I use is 400x300, basically 4:3. The text size is around 12 or 11pt.

Yes - I hate them - if there's one thing I can't stand, it's being SHOUTED AT BY SKY NEWS in CAPITALS ALL THE TIME!!!!!!
Gives me a headache.
Love some of the mdta and mromega2000 mock ups, although I notice mromega is using what appears to be Gill Sans 12pt - News 24 use the same font face, so I doubt Sky would ever use that. 20pt is the norm for TV gfx.

Might be just me but I think Sky News have been playing around with their normal news opening titles. The bit after all the headlines have been read, and it zooms back out of the Sky News logo. The logo looked much shiner, like that desert 'sting', and the letters of 'SKY news' seemed to drop onto the logo base more different.

i missed it to capture, but the opening titles show new parts of the globe, and the logo doesnt blur on screen now, it comes together and is 3D.
