Who agrees with me that this is the perfect way sky can use their graphic motife.

it has all the elements of the current   but in a stylish less tabloid format.

Very good mdta -- I still don't like the red/blue motif - or their logo Sad

Very good Mart, but I still think the bottom bit (where the reporters name etc will be) is too bulky! That's my opinion anyway!

Sky News makes me think I'm watching a tabloid newspaper when I turn over to it. BTW: Has anyone noticed The Sun seems to have a facination with Sky News. They're always commenting on their coverage! And when Sophie Wessex had an ectopic (sp?)pregnancy, they had a bit about one of the Sky News presenters who had the same in 1992!

wow mdta! well done!

Just wondering, could you do a BREAKING NEWS one, in the style you've done them?
You should email SKY and tell them to look, you really should get a job in graphics design (or update!)

I hate them, hate them, hate them!

Why can the be more like MDTA's ones.

The designer or them graphics (by which i mean class 1 of St Thomas primary school!) have assumed that all their viewers are visual impaired and colour blinded

Why do we need a big whoosh! When ever something new pops up on screen!

Why does a live report for Afghanistan need at the top of the blue banner a News Alert with the reporters name in it?

It's not a news alert it's just a live report

Why is it a Sky News Flash? Sky don't create the news, do they?
Why does everything need to be in capitals?
Why cant the font be smaller in the blue banner and contain FULL sentences rather than short hand?
Why do we need the red blob on screen all the time? Epically during the paper review. I am capable of knowing what I'm watching!
Why doesn't the top of the hour graphics fit in with the on screen graphic?

As I said in another post, this time last year Sky News was the business but now 'Oh my God, what a state!' Sky News has not just gone down but fallen of a cliff! If i wanted to watch Fox News then I would tune into it

Now this may be a case of me going mad but I'm sure I seen some different up to the hour titles on Sky News at 4pm before Sunday with Adman Boulton.

Rest assured Ison, you're not going mad - because I saw the different titles too (well they looked different Wink ). They had more of the generic look.

Yes, as I have found out - they are used before Sunday with Adam Boulton.

Anyway, well done mdta! They are very good and if only Sky would take a big of notice. They just need to be smaller. Send them in Mart, you might get somewhere!

remember on most of the straps, only the bottom blue part will be shown, and is slightly bigger than the news24 strap.

Which presenter was that?

Anyway, The Sun is all part of the Murdoch Machine, they all advertise Sky News. The Times always carries a feed of Sky News for their budget coverage.

Mdta, those graphics are excellent, far better than the crap they have now. I can't see them staying. If they go on DTT in the new year - let's say for the sake of arguement it's Feb - and have the new Sunrise presenter in Feb and the new News Active in Feb... it all points to a Feb change.

I hope.

Lisa Aziz, ten years or so ago apparently (though in fairness it was actually the guest reviewer (from the Guardian?) who brought it up).

Interestingly, although I want news24 most of the time, and also as I never actually buy any newspapers, I always try and catch the paper review on both channels, particularly as they are both now repeated on the interactive services.

Was anyone watching at 5.15?

New break bumper with a different logo. Well, same logo but it was sort of shimmering, like glass and wasn't just solid colour. The part of the planet that was being flown over was a desert.

Looked really good.

But stop creating bloody break bumpers and sort the astons out!
