This is very, very, very sad - first of all loosing your job just before christmas and secondly I truly believe Frank is excellent!

This is a real shame!

According to newsblues.com from about a week ago, it appears that Frank slapped Kay on-air because she dominated a newscast, then he left the newsroom crying.

Then I guess the whole following to dressing room thing happened, etc., etc...

I wouldn't believe that he slapped her ON-air, not even he would do that. It's hard enough to believe it happened OFF-air at all.

I think it is very unfair to judge either of them. To me it all sounds like a silly feud. We don't really know the full details. It is a great shame to see Frank go - he is actually a pretty good presenter and I hope he pops up somewhere else.

I'm really sorry to see Frank go - he was always one of my favourite presenters on Sky. He seemed to have a nice laid-back style, and I always got the impression that he was quite a nice bloke! Ms Burley, on the other hand, has always seemed like a bit of a dragon...

Lists her as playing Gill Fowler - who was Mark's first wife. Mark married her shortly before her character died ISTR.

Ah, poor old Kay, but at least if she had a good cry it wouldn't do her much damage since the muscles (or whatever) in her face can't move at all. (Remember The Mirror's Ian Hyland's obsession with her having had plastic surgery?).

I wonder if Frank will work at premier UK broadcasting again. How about the one/two who was/were sacked from Sky News in 1999 (although figthing on-air might be a bit worse) - did he/they appear again?

There's obviously more to this than meets the eye... those two used to be a couple you know... I should grill my friend at Sky for the low down!
