OK, this afternoon, Sky News Today was said to be presented by Emily Maitlis and Bob Friend when I pressed the 'i' button. Hmm, neither of the two presenters looked like Emily or Bob, which leads me to believe that they haven't updated them in a while. But why oh why did it say Emily's name? It has said Anna Botting for weeks, why the change? Something must've prompted it, so why can't they just update it properly instead of messing around putting on presenters who have obviously left?

On wednesday afternoons when they have PMQs it tells you that it is the first sitting of PMQs since the summer break.

It's said this for the past year!Very Happy

Sky, you need your head's head examined! I can't believe there's such a major error on the EPG! What a laugh! Very Happy

Incidentally, does anybody know how the EPG works? I've always wondered who presses the button to change the current programme. For instance, a programme starts five minutes late. On some channels, it changes when the programme should have started, but on BBC ONE for example it changes when the programme starts.

So am I right to assume that the BBC is responsible for changing and modifying its EPG listings (I've seen them advertise for EPG Schedulers in the Guardian), what do other channels do?

Tell me please someone before I go insane!!!!!!!

What about Bob Friend, does anybody know what has really happened. Some say he's retired, yet he's still on the web-site and epg?

Take a closer look at the website - the logo is out of date as well. They'll probably update Bob when they change the graphics on the site.

Each broadcaster is responsible for inputting information for the EPG. They have an EPG uplink system which takes their data and adds it to Sky's data stream. BTW don't forget that due to current events Sky News programmes and presenters sometimes change at short notice, and if the EPG ppl are told of a change, but the change is later reversed without the EPG ppl's knowledge, then the EPG will still be wrong despite the changeback. Or maybe it's just the old right hand/left hand thing.
