But 6:00 to 6:30 what is the point, the ITN News channel broadcasts till 7. I think if channel 5 what a cut of the breakfast ratings the need to at least broadcast until 8!!
Well it looks like individual brandings are on the way thank God! I've been waiting for the return for ages and they better do it well and add a countdown to all hours!!
Isn't Sky News currently in talks with Channel 5 with regards to using part of their allocated DTT space?
This agreement must surely secure Sky News' carriage on DTT in the not too distant future.
It's annoying that it's only 6am-6.30am, if they seriously wanted to compete then they would have to put it on for at least 2 hours. Still, it'll be interesting to see how the technical side of things are handled.
I'm not too sure why you're getting the idea that Sky will suddenly re-introduce seperate identities for their programmes, just because they happen to have a 30 minute slot for one programme that's going to get more viewers on Sky News than Channel 5. Don't get your hopes up is all I'm saying.
This now means that BSkyB have an interest in two breakfast programmes, Channel 4's and Channel 5's. Has the C4 deal actually gone through yet? I know the announcement was supposed to be confirmed a 'tomorrow' and that was a few days ago, I haven't heard much, though.
I suppose one of them's gonna have to go - I bet Channel 5 would be reluctant to loose their logo. Can't they take a clean feed, like the one in Sky News Active?
Thats great news, I don't have any other way to get Sky News right now and I'd really want to get a look.. I just really wish they'd show the whole of Sunrise, though, not just the first half hour. I think it'd be good for Channel Five's ratings and everyone all-round if the BBC had a serious news competetor in the mornings.
