Murdoch has a share of BskyB because he has a share in News International which is part of News Corporation. Many other companies have a share in BSkyB - Granada did at one point, who, as we all know, bought LWT whilst A certain Greg Dyke was in control. So there you have it. Greg's been linked with BSkyB.
Vivendi, Chargeurs, Pearson (owners of Thames) all have had, or still have, a share in BSkyB.
