I wasn't suggesting that Sky had "copied" the railing or that such a railing was copyright, I was just saying that the way there is a chrome-effect curved railing wall behind the desk reminded me of the BBC national news studio (especially the old one). If the hole in the padding on the right of the desk is filled by a large screen then this would be more the case.
I wasn't trying to slate Sky News- hell, if you want me to do that I can- it's way too dark, way too blue (which makes me think the new graphics will be way too red and way too bright), the red "leatherette" padding looks more suited to a cheap nightclub, the music would work much better on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and the presenters think they are far too important for their own good.
But I didn't want to say all that

As for "BBC News style railing", I'm not sure where the hell that's coming from. I've never seen a BBC News style railing that's blue, wood and metal used in that fashion. Or are railings now the exclusive property of the BBC? Fox have railings like that, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc, etc. Come off it.
