Special graphix in use during the Belfast School Reports

Sky News coverage has been really good with the school crisis - for most of the day they have been live there whilst flicking over to News24 they have been covering some other story even when the most important events of the day were happening.

A presenter's Nightmare a live interview with NORMAN WISDOM!!!
Are Sky the only ones to go multi-camera with their live 'School Crisis' coverage. An awful event, but powerful Sky News pictures. ITN actually have footage of the bomb going off, scary.

Yeah it was good coverage... and Kay Burley and Chris Rogers through the afternoon have been good as well today.
Sky are certainly way ahead with the Belfast crisis. It's an absolutely shocking story which deserves all the coverage that Sky are giving it. Live at 5 had an excellent 10+ minute span at the start of the programme devoted to the story, with live reports from 2 different locations in Belfast. When I flicked over to N24 some time before 10 past, they'd already moved on!
If the crisis continues, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Jeremy Thompson presenting live from Belfast (like he's done with other major stories) - which I'm sure would be excellent.
Completely agree about Kay Burley and Chris Rogers - a really good team. Come to think about it, weren't we tipped off ages ago that Chris would be paired with someone a bit older (which we assumed was Kay)? This makes ReLaunchNow's information about Chris and Natasha Kaplinsky on Live at 5 a bit confusing - I wouldn't say that Natasha's exactly old! Personally I hope Chris sticks with Kay!
Working freelance with one media company over here in Belfast (and living about 5 minute drive away) covering the story, Sky have the place covered. They have a 3 Camera OB, over 2 locations.
One at the school itself, one at the start of the 'gauntlet' and one at the 'gauntlet' on a crane/hoist.
UTV have no OBs but have 2-3 camera crews.
BBC have 1 OB camera and 2-3 crews.
The coverage itself has been itself good, especially as there are several points of view about the story. Such as why parents are dragging and I mean dragging their kids up there etc.
Obviously I'm not going into it, but if your there, it's alot worse than you see on TV.

So no comments about the audio clip, no comments on the banter after they finally manage to get Mr Wisdom off air
Sorry mdta! I saw the interview live this afternoon, and I thought it was the funniest thing I've seen on Sky News for a long time - the bloke's completely and utterly barmy! I liked the bit when he said 'you can go if you want but I'm going to carry on singing' or something, and when he tried to say Sven Goran Erikson's name.
As for the banter between Kay and Chris, I thought it was very entertaining - like I said earlier, I really hope they stick together, as they make a nice pair!
