Channel 5 have released schedules for next year showing that Sunrise starts on the 5th January from 7-8am (not 7th Jan as said previously).

Any chance that Sky News may put Sky News Australia on Sky News Active while the fire problems continue? Ive noticed they have had a few reports from SN Aus and also lives to their reporters.

Also if you visit the SN Aus website (www.skynews.com.au) you can see shots of the SN Aus newsroom, studio, control room and more.

Why can the Aussies see the UK Sky News, but we can't watch theirs?

Sky News Australia is not owned by BSkyB, it's a joint operation between Seven, Nine and BSkyB. It's not just case saying 'right, we're plonking News Australia on Active', I would presume that some agreement would have to be reached before they could just do that. To be honest, the Sydney bush fires aren't a huge story and will probably go away in a month or so, so negotiating a contract for a month isn't exactly a good use of someone's time.

Well no but the any news provider or viewer would agree with c@t, it would be nice to see Sky News Aus on active but to put it on because of the forrest fires would be pointless.
