Starts with 3 rectangles -
Then moves to one with a sparkle to make it more interesting -
Now all 3 rectangles are back in a more interesting rectangle -
To me it looks like an old style tv done in rectangles, with the screen on one side and the chanel buttons on the other!
it could be viewed that way, and it would still have relevence...
Hardly, given that most of the hardcore viewers of Sky's film channels will be watching on anything but a 1970s Philips TV!!!
That's interesting. What would people do to create a sillouette of a TV. Before they had the box with the screen and buttons. The the box with the screen and V aerial sticking out of the top. BUt now many TVs are just a square, and the main aerial feeds it from a lead plugging into the back, and all controls are hidden!
The relaunch is now happening a day earlier - the 31st October. There will also be slight EPG changes for Sky, ntl and Telewest customers:

Oh yes, well done ntl. This just demonstrates how ridiculous their EPG numbers are. Why don't they just sort this out once and for all, the whole exercise of Sky renumbering their channels has rendered the ntl:EPG a complete farce.
Let's just put the list in order of EPG position as they will appear on ntl:home - a nonsense.
701 Film Four

I know they're selling the new Sky Movies packages alá the current way but there's no need to do it like this, how many people will this benefit? Probably none. But I assume that on Analogue Cable (In Warrington) is going like this for Sky Movies...
32 Sky Movies 2
33 Sky Movies 1
34 Sky Cinema 1
Not as bad as Sky Sports on analogue cable, with SS1 being on 30, SS2 on 14 and SS3 on 1.
I've just been looking through Digital Spy Forums and came across this post, which details the apparant changes to people's subscriptions regarding the rebrand of Sky Movies.
stevep1981 from Digital Spy Forums... posted:
Hi
I rang Sky about this yesterday because I also subscribe to Premier only.
Initially the lady I spoke to knew nothing about the rebrand! But then she put me through to someone in a department called Sky Programme Information.
What I was told is that people subscribed to Premier only will receive Sky Movies 1,3,5,7 and 9. Sky Max subscribers will receive 2,4,6 and 8.
The odd numbered channels will show the films currently on Premier and the even numbered channels will show Max films. He said that Sky Movies 9 which will show arthouse and world cinema films. He also said "you'll notice that films aren't on as often and there will be a bigger selection of newer films".
I hope that info is of use to some people, it's only what I was told by this guy at Sky.
It does raise a few questions - some of it fits with what has already been reported about the rebrand. Surprised to learn that one of the Max screens is being dropped though. Also I though the arthouse stuff was going to be on Cinema.
So make of it what you will! Maybe someone else could also ring Sky and see if they are told the same thing?
There are 96 different channel packages available on sky.
Go to http://www.sky.com/skycom/allpackages for more info. I think Family Pack + Sky Premier Screens is about 28 pounds.
