Sorry Martin, but I remember when the current look came in, and your butt licking emails to Sky describing the then new look as being 'amazing' and 'groundbreaking' - and that was less than 18 months ago. I remember you enthusiastically typing 'SKYmovies[][][]' in posts. I even remember your 'Sky Movies News' mock videoclip (very nice too might I add). Why have you suddenly decided that that look is no longer any good and the new one is better?
Really, you are an excellent graphic designer, but it does seem that you just like whatever is in use. When you are actually out in the field and you do actually become the next Martin Lambie-Nairn (which I hope you do) how are you going to make your own designs stand out when you seemingly are just going to follow trends, rather than set them, and seemingly have no capacity for critical analysis of anyone else's work?
Isn't that just going to limit your ability to being able to supply new presentation elements for existing presentation sets rather than actually being able to design new pres yourself?

The current logo has a busy background, and also has 3 rectangles after it. This has a brighter choice of colours, simpler background, and one rectangle which includes the 3 rectangles and also resembles the pur notches of 35mm flm.
