For anyone has SKY+ they just a few days updated the menu and you no longer press '0' for your recorded shows you now press the green button. Ok fine no problem with me. But when you live with your 61 year colourblind technofob Dad Shocked *pulling hair out time. took him this long to get the hang on the '0' I may as well give up now.

It's abit of bad planning really as I was used to pressing "Sky Guide" and the up arrow to get to the Sky+ Planner, if you do that now you end up with the "Adult Channels" genre Embarassed Embarassed

I suppose I will get used to Sky Guide and then green after a while. Otherwise the new EPG is good. I like having 50 favourites, and the new favourites listings is much better - a good improvement Very Happy

Yeah but its suppost to be easy ain't it. They've just and confused the f**k out of technofobs

I know it sounds daft, and rather lazy but it was much easier to do the following simply using your thumb:

rather than the more tortuous:

which you cannot do just with your thumb (unless it can be easily dislocated) Shocked Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

You don't need to do step three in the second diagram to access the Sky+ planner. TV Guide, Green is all that's needed.

Yawn. Tivo button twice. None of this inferior Sky+ 300 buttons nonsense.

Mmmm, agreed, but still step one & two require a dislocated thumb for easy use. Very Happy

Any idea when normal SKY boxes are being updated?

well speaking of the SKY+, I thought that the SKY+ box had broke so I took the card out and everything! Later noticing that for the recordings you now have to press green not 0.

the new menu is a bit weird Shocked

Has anybody else noticed that when previously pressing 0 whilst watching a programme brought up the speaker symbol followed by 3 spaces, now it brings a 0 followed by 3 spaces, presumebly so that the TV Guide won't contain channel numbers twice

Hope you don't want to record radio shows from Sky with your Tivo... The optional leading 0 is going to be problem for us Tivo-owners who want to record from the radio.

(Pity that Tivo and Sky aren't still partners...)
