Sky Living is rebranding in August to Sky Witness.

Not a bad run for the 'Living' name - it's survived 25 years in different guises (UK Living, Living TV)

It better reflects the content of the channel of the last few years. The female skewed version of Living slowly disappeared a few years ago.

Odd to think that out of the VMTV buyout only Challenge seems to have remained virtually unchanged.

The Sky Witness Twitter handle has already been taken but SkyWitnessHD is available if anyone wants to try taking it. Unless of course Sky is dropping the HD from their twitter handles?

Sky only added HD to the Living twitter handle as the other had already been taken.

The new branding puts the channel closer to UKTV's Alibi.
ToasterMan, Stuart and TellyTime gave kudos

This may be a stupid question but I wonder if 'Sky Witness' is a play on 'eye witness'?

Considering Sky Living also shows fly on the wall formats in addition to the crime dramas, it's a good use of the name.

Sky Witness is a weird name. Doesn't sound interesting.

Worth noting that Sky Deustschland operates a channel called Sky Krimi (and has done for years), which I believe has similar output to Sky Living/Witness. Certainly Witness sounds better than Sky Crime.

Sky Krimi shows a lot of German crime drama previously shown on other channels.
Sky Crime, of course might be confused with Sony Crime - only two letters difference!

Now, where the likes Grey's Anatomy will move?

I think they're moving it closer to the like of Fox Crime
