They seem to be pushing this quite a bit - go to Sky Text on Freeview and the whole front page links to pages about the Free weekend, including full listings.

Makes sense.

They want this to be as high key as possible to attract potential subscribers, hence why the FTA Sky channels are showing a lot of trails. Wouldn't be much point of the promotion if it was hardly advertised.

I was expecting this to be dogged to death but for once they're letting the programmes speak for themselves, with just a simple FREE PASS dog reaplcing the Sky3 dog - not in addition to it, and not animating to reveal it.

Presentation very nice too with a Free Pass ident, then a slide saying which channel it's present in association with. Regular ads seem to be down to a minimum too, in favour of ads promoting Sky channels.

Slightly off topic, but has '24' Season 3 onwards ever been shown on Sky 3, as 'terrestrial' viewers haven't seen the show since the end of Season 2(I think?).

Some licensing/rights issue ISTR.

Not 100% certain, but I've got a feeling season 3 may have been shown in the early days of Sky3 - but definitely hasn't been shown since.

They showed seasons 3 and 4 and stopped after that.

Have Sky snaffled extra bandwidth for Sky3 this weekend on Freeview, the quality seems to be better than usual?
