Just got the Sky magazine for June and noticed a mention of the Sky Festival in Manchester. More than 25 channels will be hosting over 30 special events including free movie screenings from Sky Movies, a Caribbean themed café from Sky Travel, a chance to be pampered courtesy of The Biography Channel and an opportunity to try your hand at reading a bulletin on Sky News.

Sounds like a BBC News on tour type thing, but with more than just news and sport. The website says Manchester police are expecting tens of thousands of people to enjoy the activities at the festival, it'll be a big event for Manchester. Thought it deserved a mention, but will anyone here be going?

Well this was confirmed sometime ago, but only Media Guardian reported it, as did some local Media such as Channel M, who are considering having their own thing at the festival.

Either way it sounds good and I'm intending on visiting, though I think I'll use Public Transport, I do usually Drive to Manchester, but finding a space is rather difficult...Evil or Very Mad
