Does anyone know if there is a fault with Sky's EPG? For some reason I have BBC London, no ITV, No channel 4 showing at all.

Just wondered if this was a widespread fault?

Trust you've done the usual box-unplugging routine?

Hi - is it a new box?? When we had Sky fitted recently, we had BBC London, ITV no CH4 or 5 for about 3 hours until the system received the signal from Sky. Just a thought! Hope you get it sorted!

The box must be 10 years old by now Shocked Channel 5 is missing too however just found BBC Yorks & Lincs on 977. All very weird.

Mystery solved. Apparently if the Sky box cant read the card it shuts off any geographic channels due to rights reasons, also it doesn't know where you live so it reverts to a default setting in the case of BBC1 its London. If anyone has similar problems try taking out the card or wiggling it gently! if that does not work then its an expensive 0870 call to Sky. Hope that helps anyone with a similar fault.

It's not due to rights regions as all the regions can still be received (as they are FTA). Quite simply, the geographic region you are meant to be receiving is stored on the viewing card, and if the box can't read it, expect it to revert to London.
