Sky and Discovery are closing in on a last-minute deal to save the likes of Eurosport and Animal Planet from the UK's screens.

I will be disappointed if the channels remain, I wanted to see what happened when they were pulled. Mad Rolling Eyes

Pinched from the Sky Forum, this is now it appears the standard reply:

We have worked really hard for more than a year to get a deal done for our customers with Discovery,We were prepared to pay a fair price for the Discovery and Eurosport channels and invest more in those channels to make them even better for our customers, unfortunately we were unable to come to an agreement with Discovery .

I then asked:

Are the channels 100% being removed then. The answer was yes.

It's only a CS agent so not 100% confirmed.

At the same time, on Sky Twitter:

The Channels have not yet been removed. Please check back later this evening for an update. ^BB

Sky has confirmed users are to lose the 12 channels as it has been unable to come to a new contract agreement with broadcaster Discovery.

They seem to have given up on the ticker on the Discovery channels.

That could mean that it's a lost cause, though. Sad

I'd expect an almost permanent ticker if it was confirmed they were definitely going.

SkyHelpTeam still telling customers the channels may stay.

Is that allowed? as all platforms seem to use the same version.

Latest on Sky Twitter.

Nothing to see there, just recycling old news. I'd want confirmation from a far more reliable source.

Oh I agree, it's the only place it's been said so far. Nothing official yet.
