Did Filmfour put that caption over all content or just the credits and promos?

For me Discovery Science and History are fantastic channels. I don't have sky myself but my parents do and they're so pissed off they're thinking of cancelling sky or asking for a reduction in charges seeing at the Discovery bouquet is going.

Well the very top level of Discovery management, JB has given Discovery UK the approval to stick it to Sky, it's a risk, but they've done this before in Scandinavia.

All I can say is Sky is lying.

Is it even in HD? Rolling Eyes Laughing

No, it's not in HD. It's from a DVB -S transponder operated by Sky which is currently used for Challenge/+1/Ireland, Forces TV and the slides for the now defunct SBO channels which remain on the EPG.

I didn't imagine it would be, my post was more tongue in cheek.

Can we expect the on screen graphics to become more intensive on the final day before they go off air?

Yes and spots are likely every ad break along with tickers.

I'd expect more mentions of it during Eurosport broadcasts as well.

Some other channels in the 4400 range have appeared now so I guess Sky are ready to switch over at midnight.

Can they not repoint multiple EPG slots to the same feed?

Are the Discovery channels uplinked/controlled by Sky? If they are couldn't they just replace the program stream to their graphic?

Side Question: Does Sky uplink the Freesat channels for their own use or does the Sky box tune to the Freesat frequencies?

Discovery have changed their generic reply to the public on twitter from " we are working hard to resolve the issue"

To " we will have news on this very soon" 6 minutes ago, a resolution? Or announcement of the removal tonight?
