Skins Series 2 Trailers started airing tonight on Channel 4, E4 and Online on MySpace. Not what I expected atall from the trailer. Its very dark, mysterious and spooky, to reflect the unknown state of Tony. It really is amazingly constructed the feel of it is superb and looks completely different from Series 1, less of the sex and happy hardcore raves and more about the darker side maybe?

Anyone know what date in February it starts airing?

I would bet it will sneak in before the end of the month and air during the last week of Celebrity Hijack.

I think thats only to contrast with the misery and mourning of 'dead' Tony by Jal, Sid and Michelle and Cassie's feelings towards Sid. Interesting to see her almost 'Ghost' like in the advert, like Tony has overcast how Sid feels now. The ad is full of hidden depths!

It has sex written all over it, perhaps it has hidden metaphors, but the average teenage viewer will identify the semi-naked bodies and relate it to sex.

They certainly know how to grab the attention of the target audience eh

Cant wait for the new series though. Everyone I know cant stop talking about how Sid+Cassie are. They were rather understated last series until right at the very end.

As a teenager myself youre pretty wrong, me and my friends certainly didnt associate it woth sex just with plain weirdness, and the somber tone went down well

Have they managed to come up with something reasonably good looking (SBS doesn't seem to have any idents at all, or particularly good promos at the moment) or is this just what Channel Four used?

There's a good behind the scenes thing on the website of the trailer - probably more effort for that than the average episode of your average soap.

Skins starts tomorrow on E4 at 10pm. Should be good! I've seen the first 15 mins, and its almost as obscure as the last 15 mins of the last series with the cover of Wild World.

I've seen the first two episodes and i think this is going to be a much better series then the first one. The first ep of the new series was excellent, and the second episode was good. In Ep 2 i my jaw did drop a couple of times with Sketch and her monther, but i just keep telling myself its only a tv show. Either way i hope the rest of the episodes are as good.
