That pic must be quite old as that beige aston was removed about June last year if I'm correct...anyone know roughly what time this picture was captured, just out of curiousity?

That is a really good point, but I'm wondering what type of projection screen material they are using.
Back projection screens are often off-white in colour but in situations of high ambient-light (like a studio), black screen material is used; which seems to give better contrast and a sharper image. The problem with black screens is that the 'viewing cone' (i.e. the angle from which it may be viewed) is reduced to around 30 degrees from directly in front. This means that someone standing to the side of it would have difficulty reading detail from it.
Anyone got a pic of the screen turned 'off'?
