The Six Nations are back and this year live on the BBC and ITV, with generally speaking the Saturday games being on one and the Sunday (of Friday) games on the other.

BBC have updated their fantastic titles this year - an evolution rather than a revolution but nice enough, and with it's own end cap rather than the generic yellow bar which BBC Sport seem to fading out slowly but surely. They also have a new "spaceship" position at Murrayfield which is similar to what they have in France - open to the elements.

One noticeable element so far is that the BBC and ITV sharing the rights means they appear to have agreed to sharing archive footage, so the BBC are showing footage from the World Cup rather than just stills.

P.S. Match graphics are the same as last year.

Be interesting to see how ITV integrate the Six Nations specific yet BBC-friendly graphics. And indeed S4C.

Same way RTÉ have done. Use their own package for anything specific to them.

New simple but rather nice graphics for ITV Sport. Titles seemed to go on forever, very much action focused.

P.S. Jonny Wilkinson still a very weak pundit, while Mark Pougatch seems much more comfortable here than on the football.

May I point out that ITV used the BBC (Minus the logo) for their analyses clips, would have thought they would have not used them.

The score board graphics are not controlled by the BBC.

Six Nations score bar minus BBC logo = World Feed. Surprised that they didn't have a clean feed to use, mind.

I'd be surprised if ITV don't use the same in-game graphics. Did the commentary from yesterday that ITV used in their montage come from BBC or was that World Feed?

I think it was their own commentary.
RTÉ seems to have abandoned their box studio and are presenting completely from pitch side.

For France v Italy I believe it was Simon Ward commentating and for Scotland v England I believe it was Martin Gillingham who were both ITV commentators for the RWC so I believe it was their own commentary. On the graphics RTE use the same graphics as the BBC again minus the BBC logo and I believe all broadcasters use them therefore wouldn't surprise if ITV used them this afternoon.

It was Martin Gillingham at Murrayfield for ITV yesterday. I have to say, I'm disappointed that ITV have resorted to doing what they did during the world cup, and that is have an advert before the start of the match. This then means the team details are put on the screen after the match has started.

BT Sport and Sky Sports do different, and I'd like to see ITV pull rank.

ITV using same graphics as BBC/RTE therefore world feed with ITV Sport beside the score. Like all broadcasters they use their own graphics for studio discussions etc. and to name commentators.

A stacked ITV Sport logo with no background accompanying the generic scorebar on ITV.
