Don't think anyone has posted this yet, but this was the price drop studio shown for about 30 seconds at 5:10

Are the power problems across the whole of London or is it just a coincidence that BBC Parliament went off air today?

I thought sit-up were based on the Uxbridge Road in Acton? Nowhere near Millbank! Must just be a coincidence.

Bid TV have now gone to a colour bar slide, and back again. (twice)

More likely to be something losing it's incoming signal rather than someone choosing to show bars.

Ah right, I was just pointing it out however, thanks for that.

This is off-topic but I notice on your personal Metropol sig for the 'TV Forum Watch' thread you have the TV Forum logo appear... that's quite clever!

Ah, yep, I saw that. I couldn't capture it as my tuner was recording Bid TV at the time. Thanks for that.

Speed Auction TV are now having similar problems to Price Drop earlier, although somehow they have colourbars half mixed onto the screen.

Probably just that. There have been so many breakdowns this week!

Well the person who was on just after Bid recovered from their first power cut said it was due to power cuts in "the posher parts of Acton".

Clearly not real problems.

I think all of the graphics are chroma-keyed and they can remove parts easily. They can usually add or remove graphics whenever they want.

You don't chroma-key graphics. Chromakey is replacing a colour in the video signal with another image.

They of course will be able to show only certain elements of the graphics as part of normal operation. When they first came back on Pricedrop they were faulty - the bit missing was a strip across the side

I noticed on screen that they could hide part of the graphics (such as the price), if you've ever used the Mac application CamTwist you'll know what I mean.

That's what I thought. I am still unsure whether I believe the 'missing' parts of the graphics. Confused

Without knowing their set up, it's more than possible that the final set of graphics you normally see come from more than one source, and while they've managed to get one up and working another is giving them problems.

Yep they're in Acton. The way EDF are though I wouldn't be surprised if there was more than one power failure.

EDIT: yes there was one at Millbank too: http://www.tvforum.co.uk/thenewsroom/daily-politics-32085/
