Just watched this on ITV1. Its nice to see them put something different on a Saturday night for once. It was good entertainment and involved members of the public rather than so called celebs for a change.

Also JK and Joel were good hosts.

Well done ITV.

I really enjoyed this show last night. A very good antithesis to all the X Factor type shows, where sh*t singers are under the delusion that they sound great.

I'd be great on this show, as I'm beyond awful at trying to sing, but am extremely knowledgable at song lyrics.

I wish id watched now. Why is it so hard for singers to sing fluently so to speak, but then why do people hear different words?

I remember when Cher's Believe came out, there was loads of arguments as to weather it was "Do you believe in love after love..... or do you believe in live after love."

Was it a one off?

Radio Times said it was 1 of 3 episodes. Whether the others will be on over the next two Saturdays, or just shown occasionally at some random points later this year, I'm not sure...

When the Kaiser Chiefs' I Predict A Riot first came out, I honestly thought they were singing "I've Got Tourettes"! (sp?) Embarassed A mate of mine jokingly changed it to "I Can Eat A Rabbit"! Laughing

EDIT: It feels like we're now in the "indecipherable lyrics" round from Never Mind The Buzzcocks ...

Only saw the end and they said the winner goes through to the final in two weeks, so it's a series of three.

JK and Joel are perfectly capable hosts, but to be honest I thought the format was pretty crap and boring - usual summer filler stuff.

Though as Jez says, a novelty to see a show involving the general public and not celebrities - but having said that, Night Fever was so much better.

It is a 3 part series yes. ITV are obviously playing it safe with just 3 episodes and see how it does.

Hope it being up against Live Earth didnt make it have poor viewing figures - Id like to see it get a second series.

I'd be good on there bearing in mind a triangle has more note variation than I do

All to do with the singers enunciation and rhythm of the music I should think.

When we speak phrases like "I scream" and "ice cream" can be distinguished by emphasis/innotonation; a lot harder to do when you singing a long to a tune that quite often doesn't lend itself to the correct emphasis.

That's my theory anyway
