Yes! In fact the shot with Homer pouring bleach in his ear was left in, because I tweeted about it at the time and took a grab...
...but it was actually a running joke in that episode, as there was another scene which they edited out where he poured it into his eyes.
I actually found it a very amusing non-sequiter at the time, though I might have found it a bit less amusing if I'd seen the other variations on the joke throughout the episode. Perhaps one of the few edits that probably made it a bit funnier.
There was an episode on Sky One a couple of years ago which had a cut scene where Homer pours bleach into his ear, but for some reason they left half a second or so of footage in, so you just got this strange brief shot of Homer pouring something in his ear before it moved onto the next scene.

I have no idea myself seeing as I'm also waitingfor the 4:3 versions. I'd like to hope they are, but there's plenty of stuff in the show that feels pretty un-Disney!
Has anyone checked the episodes mentioned on Disney+ to see if they’re uncut? There seems to be conflicting information. Very much hoping they’re intact.

I really wish Channel 4 would start to show brand new episodes of the Simpsons instead on repeating the same ones over and over again

Missionary: Impossible was uncut on Disney+.

All the ones I've watched so far appear to be uncut.

I happened to switch on Sky 1 on Saturday just as an episode was starting, so for the first time in ages I sat and watched one that way. I'd no idea how old it was, other than it clearly being from the HD era. Turns out it was 'The Last Traction Hero' from Season 28. Made me laugh quite a bit. I don't think it's as straightforward as 'It's not funny after Season X'. Perhaps it's more a reflection on just how good some of the earlier seasons were.
That said I'm looking forward to seeing some of the 'classics' again (or for the first time) especially if they are - as it seems from replies here - uncut.
To be fair, it's hard to make a post Season 11 episode less funny.

I would agree with that. I still watch The Simpsons, and these days in a good week it'll be an enjoyable enough way to spend twenty minutes and will make me laugh a few times. But when it's finished I'll have no particular interest in watching it again, as opposed to the early series which I would watch again and again until I knew the script off by heart.
As you say, the early series of The Simpsons were absolutely brilliant, whereas these days it's a pretty unremarkable sitcom much like many other things on TV that I'm not desperately broken-hearted if I miss. But it's alright and I'd rather watch it than not.

No watershed on streaming so no reason not to have them uncut unless something hasn't aged well.

Still depends on what sort of audience it's being aimed at, seeing as Disney+ is promoted as being more of less family friendly, so they could possibly have decided to cut out some of the stronger content to fit in with that.
When it comes to streaming and the lack of restrictions though, it does feel some things go too far. The new Twilight Zone for example is a swear fest, with f-bombs every few minutes, to the point it ruins the show. Rod Serling is spinning in his grave. Too many f-bombs in Star Trek Picard as well, doesn't fit in with either franchise. Just feels like a case of shoehorning them in because they can. I wonder if it's because American TV, bar HBO and the likes, has always been a lot more prudish than British TV, now they have their new found freedom with streaming they've gone over the top with it.

I personally still enjoyed the new episodes until at least around the time of the movie. I kept watching into the HD era but I probably couldn’t recall any of the more recent episodes - with the exception of the bleach scene one as mentioned, but also an episode about the Winter Olympics ‘Boy Meets Curl’ which I thought was particularly good.
I think I have had this discussion before with James though, didn’t want to bother this time since obviously his opinion is so ingrained!
