The Simpsons in the UK

Hour long episodes of Hollyoaks (spin off series episodes aside) are quite rare. There was one a few weeks ago as you said (the previous one before that was New Year's Eve). The narrative of that, particular episode was designed as a one hour episode and wouldn't have worked as well as two thirty minute episodes.

The current airing pattern for Hollyoaks is
Monday & Tuesday 6:30pm (C4)
Monday & Tuesday 7:00pm (E4)
Re runs of old episodes 'Hollyoaks Favourites' Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 7:00pm (E4 only)

The Simpsons has the 6:30pm C4 slot currently from Wednesday to Friday.

Hopefully, Treehouse of Horror XXVII (27) this year will FORCE Channel 4 to put new episodes of The Simpsons back in the 9pm slot uncensored. Or, they just dump it at 6pm heavily edited. That's probably more realistic for Channel 4.

I have also noticed that CH4 have dumped Duncanville on E4. I saw it on there last week before Adult Swim Fridays.

Good to know I'm guessing there was no announcement about the change? Why air the show on Channel 4 in the first place to shift to another channel? (I was under the impression that either Channel 4 gave up with it or it was on a break)

It was always planned to be repeated on E4 from the start, Channel 4's run appears to be on a break at the moment (though it would be thoroughly unsurprising if it does eventually move to E4)

Had a quick search there is 11 episodes (so far) according to IMDB, one of their recent episodes is #8 that aired on 3 May, I am guessing Channel 4 were showing this at near US pace? I also noted on ALL4 they have episode 6 (unavailable but highlighted)....

The show had an 2-week Easter break between episodes 6 (the last one shown on C4 as of now) and 7, so it should have returned this coming Friday night, although since it’s Friday 10:35pm timeslot is going to be used by The Last Leg: Locked Down Under’s last 25 minutes, I think it might not return to C4 until that finishes it’s run.

UPDATE: TLL: LDU is for 4 episodes for 4 weeks, meaning Duncanville is likely to return on the 5th of June.

So in other words Channel 4 have now split the season up, they may as well have held back then ran the show from the get go...

You are right in what you say also as even on the ALL 4 guide its not even listed for next 2 weeks either (Last Leg).... nothing appears either before E4 Adult Swim.

It might be coming to E4. I see it in the animation section of the E4 website...

Watching "Treehouse of Horror VI" on Channel 4 now and the couch gag (where the family drop in hanging on nooses) was cut.
