I think Simon might go on to do a bit of religion-themed television as I heard that he's quite a committed Christian...
Yes he is - also his dad's a Vicar!
quite a committed christian? it would be interesting to read which specific parts of the bible he doesn't strictly follow. and besides, a man of his intellect should know that hindu is the one true faith.

OK - let's say he's a committed Christian - which is what I think Katherine meant.
The Bible is not a list of instructions to follow - it certainly contains some instructions - but it is read to give guidance, the core of which can be boiled down to "Love and respect others, and treat them as you would want them to treat you".
I would suggest that any man of intellect will tell you that by definition no one faith can be proven as the "one true faith" - that's why it's a faith! If we knew for definite all the mysteries of the world, the universe, and what comes after - be that a higher state of spiritual being, or reincarnation as a different animal or insect on Earth, then we wouldn't need faith - we'd have solid fact. However, members of many faiths will tell you that they believe that we all worship the same one true God.

You have the right to say what you belive but you don't have the right to juge how he lives his life or what he belives, and like i said i have seen him at Christian events hold before and talking about his faith on TV so yeah i think that does make him very committed.
Do you think today's episode of them showing cows excreting will prokoke complaints? U know there was that Con MP who complained in parliament about Dick and Dom.
Who do you think to the ridiculous newsround where next week all programmes are donated to Islam? An example of BBC going over the top in public correctness or what?
Although Konnie has been on the show longer, Simon is actually the oldest of the current team (32 this year).
And Konnie has the biggest following..... not necessarily just amongst the kids
Doesn't she actually go out with Richard Bacon? Though he's doing well, as he's taking Flipside TV to America, but considering what he did at the time he got off pretty lightly and probably did nothing BUT good for his career.
Don't forget 5Live late Saturday & Sunday 10 till 1 !
Ah, it feels like only yesterday, when, via the 'sands of time', Simon burst through a sheet of paper...
Think that's how he was introduced, anyway. Didn't they show the 'auditions' for 3 other presenters, including a certain Michael Underwood?
Yes they did. Michael Underwood auditioned for Blue Peter, didn't get it and then went on 'What ever you want' gameshow presented by Goby Roslin and won a contract at CBBC.
