Well, I would have pointed you toward one of the grand all-summarising threads at Metropol that would have given you a great deal of information about the situation, but they seem to have been (gaspies) *deleted*! Shocking.

James Martin was a user here, but was banned for misbehaviour. He then went on a grand quest to have himself reinstated by posting incessantly at Metropol, from which he was consequently banned sometime later. There's MUCH more to the story than that, but I just can't bring myself to type that much.
So I presume he did more than just argue his point? I.E., you don't get banned just for being opinionated?
Well he kept announcing that he was leaving but then came back under other usernames. He would then deny that the username had anything to do with him.

You find yourself browsing the forum at 4am where you're the only person online and you find it frustrating that there is no one else posting.
You realise that there are people (marginally) sadder than you when you read through (the next day) their minute-by-minute analysis of the 4am temporary closedown of BBC channels for transmitter maintenance.

I do that - sometimes when people I know arrive I say "thanks very much for being with us this morning". Scary eh?
Oh, and for those who, as suggested by one poster, have painted their rooms red and cream to give that BBC News look, I hope you have changed your rooms accordingly seeing as the relaunch is happening tomorrow. Red and cream are SO last week!

I love how the BBC News thread is being spoken about at Digital Spy, one correspondent remarks :

Well I can assure you that TV Forum has loads of bollocks compared to Digital Spy. But it also has a hell of a lot of better quality posts than Digital Spy as well. Many a time have I read rehashes of what appears here, and links to this one. The fact that Digital Spy has censored the TV Forum URL (and once the name itself) speaks volumes.
