The Hulk Hogan cartoon series was once uploaded in full on the WWE Network but was pulled once his scandal broke.

The first series of Dr Zitbag is on Amazon Video I believe.

Yes I'd forgotten Hulk Hogan went through a period of acting in the 1980s and 1990s, though his family films in the 1990s all bombed, but yes it would explain why the 1985 cartoon had turned up again.

The main thing I remember from that era was a trailer for one of his films where he touched a couple of kids on the head and gave them an electric shock which got shown on TV lots at the time... looking at his filmography that was most likely Mr Nanny from 1993.

In fact it seems that film got released in the UK 6 months before it did in the US!

Here's one for you.

I believe this was originally broadcast on CITV in the mid-80's - it was called 'The Blunders'. Even though it was well before my time, I had (and still have) two official videos of the show, which I watched growing up.

The Blunders was produced by Film Fair (Paddington, The Wombles etc) and was centred around a family of the same name, who in each 5 episode would make complete blunders of themselves in various situations. It was written and directed by Ian Sachs and was narrated by the late Frankie Howerd.

It's a real hoot to watch!

Film Fair's archive appears to be part of DHX Media now, though it could have quite easily remained part of ITV, as Central bought a portion of the company and for whatever reason later sold it.

There's a couple of more obscure shows in this CITV promo from 1995 and some more well known ones:

And Animaniacs, in that promo, has finally had its first volume released on DVD in the UK. After being released in the US in 2006.

"The 8:15 From Manchester" is another one.

Sadly, it came back into our minds for all the wrong and sad reasons yesterday.......

Anyone remember a tv quiz show called "ScreenTest" and it's fantastic theme tune?

Surprising Challenge did air some of Screen Test, the screenshots on UkGameShows has one with a Challenge DOG on it (it was a black and white episode):

Screen Test featured in the plot to the Son of Rambow film where a character wanted to enter their Young Filmmaker Competition, which was infamously won by Jan Pinkava one year for his animated short 'Rainbow'.
