Then there was LWT's Crime Monthly which was networked for a while, I seem to remember.

I remember Crime Monthly as well, only saw the one episode of it here in STV land.

From STV, was their version of the ITV results service programme in the early 1990s, Scotsport Results. Ken Mcrobb sometimes hosted it. I think it ran from 1989 to 1992, when ITV failed to win the Premier league rights, and they dropped the results programme, absorbing it into the early evening news bulletin on a Saturday.

During the 1991 rugby world cup, Scotsport results didn't run, as ITV always had a live rugby match on, and they had the results in as part of the coverage.

The other long lost 80s LWT sitcom is Me and My Girl with Richard o'Sullivan, Joan Sanderson and Tim Brook Taylor. I can't find much out about what happened to Joanne Ridley who played the girl.

It's not much but:

"Joanne Ridley moved to America shortly after her marriage collapsed, and changed her name to Iona Simms.

Simms now works as a midwife in the spiritual community of Harbin Hot Springs in California where she lives with her two sons."

Looks like she's had a bit of bad luck recently though (and is now Iona Ridley)

Who remembers the three ITV Telethons, 1988, 1990, and 1992? It's something that is rarely mentioned in the history of ITV.

And in the London area, the 1980 and 1985 Thames Telethons, which were the forerunners to the three ITV telethons. Bits of all three exist on youtube.

A bit more recent but when ITV won Premier League (fine, Premiership) highlights in 2001, there was a spin-off show on the Monday called The Premiership Parliament, hosted by Ally McCoist and Gabby Logan.

The Telethons are mentioned quite frequently on here. The 1992 telethon was controversial with disabled rights campaigners protesting against the Telethon outside the studios. Indeed some protestors managed to invade the studio and they had to swiftly go to a VT whilst they were removed. This was on Youtube a while back but it seems to not be on there anymore.

Along with the franchise changes meant Telethon 94 never materialised and the Telethon is probably not so fondly remembered by ITV.

On a related note, an old TV Forum post drags up that bastion of ITV millennium programming - the Year of Promise - which apparently some people thought was a newer version of the telethon and so tried to pledge money to it:

The Year of Promise launched in a blaze of fanfare in 1999 with various outlets getting involved, though the entire thing later fell on its arse and now only exists at all in the form of the Wayback Machine, a CD in Scotland and a monument not far from the Thames:

There is a proper look back thread for the Year of Promise https://tvforum.uk/tvhome/itvs-day-promise-memories-39712/#

Just look at the leaflet:

One for STV viewers, a monthly show called Crimedesk. Hosted from the Scotland Today studio. The presenter was sat behind a desk, hence the name. Also, it would feature one, or maybe at a push, two items.

Talking of crime, who remembers the short Crimestoppers inserts you used to get at various times at the end of ad breaks?

Obviously I wasn't on here at the time, but although Crimestoppers seemed to be shown at random, I'm sure they probably had a schedule of fixed time slots and didn't just appear as and when.

It's one of those TV phone numbers that I will always remember, and that you could receive a community action trust reward, whatever one of those was.

The Children's BBC show What's That Noise is often overlooked. It tried to do for music what Tony Hart did for art. I remember there were some really good episodes including a large ensemble of musicians and singers performing Queen's Somebody to Love.

I remember the format between two ( the only two? ) of the series being quite different. Craig Charles presented one of them but can't remember who the other presenter was. IMO could have had a longer run.

I'm surprised Noddy's Toyland Adventures hasn't already been given a complete series DVD release, considering the huge cult following it's received in recent times.

That show was arguably the best adaptation of Enid Blyton's character; beautifully crafted stop-motion animation by Cosgrove Hall, remarkably versatile voice acting by just two actors, and sharp, witty dialogue that all ages can enjoy.
