This gem, was never well treated in first place alot of people believe it was only one off specials. I do remember I spent ages looking for the series every single week, Its a shame it was never repeated.

Two daytime shows from the 2000's that have also faded in to obscurity.

Too Many Cooks - ITV cookery gameshow very similar to Ready Steady Cook with elements of Masterchef chucked in. 4 teams of two cooked dishes in a certain time limit. A celebrity chef tasted them and set one home. Repeated until one team was left. It wasn't brilliant.

Only footage I could find is the title sequence

No Win, No Fee - Gameshow hosted by Paul Ross.

Can't Cook Won't Cook has also faded into obscurity a bit, possibly because Ainsley Harriott went on to present the longer-running Ready Steady Cook.

Are we limiting this to just British shows?

As long as there were broadcast on a UK channel I see no reason not to.

I was thinking of some of the American teen shows like Saved By The Bell and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but lesser known, for example:

Before Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Hart in Clarissa Explains it all

Those two used to be big in Nick, and Clarissa Explains it all was on CBBC, while Sister sister was on Ch4.

I was just going to say, Sister Sister was aired ad-infinitum on Nickelodeon and until fairly recently was on The Vault and lots of its other programmes like Zoey 101 and what not were ultimately farmed off to other networks and still appear on occasion today. Tia still occasionally appears in Nick programming and Tamera appears to be deflected to Disney.

Clarissa was aired on CBBC (Genome suggests it only appeared initially as a programme in Live & Kicking in 1994 before being repeated stand-alone as part of CBBC later) but I have a feeling not all of 65 odd episodes aired.

Yes, Clarissa was part of Live and Kicking on a weekly basis. Nick UK used to show Clarissa and Melissa Joan Hart's other teen vehicle Sabrina.

No, Clarissa was screened in the 94-95, 95-96, 96-97 series of L&K, with repeats on CBBC. The series did not follow the production years I get the feeling there spilt series up the last series 96-97 had at least 20, Very Happy

Sister Sister was aired at 5pm on Nickelodeon for years on end in the late 90s, they used to show them in order every weekday and then go back to the start, with new episodes launching as and when there were any generally with maximum promotion,. I think it actually replaced Clarissa in that peak slot which itself also aired daily in order going back to the start each time.

Sabrina became very well used on CITV as well as airing on Nick.

Am I right in thinking that although these shows were firmly kids shows airing in kids slots in this country, in the U.S. they were seen more as family shows airing in a later time slot on more of a family network rather than Nickelodeon

As others have said Sister Sister was shown regularly on Channel 4 on the Bigger Breakfast or the early days of T4 before it was just Friends, Hollyoaks and the Simpsons, another of those American teen dramas shown on Channel 4 that might have been forgotten is Hang Time

Another one that was shown on Nick and Channel 4 the renford rejects
