Mentioned this one elsewhere, but recently added to my own site was a pretty obscure CITV drama called Retrace. Produced by Yorkshire Television for two series in 1996 and 1998, the basic premise was that one day the father of a family goes missing leaving the family to fend for themselves. Shortly followed by pictures of him appearing wanted for armed robbery, although ultimately turning out to be part of a coverup by an obscure branch of the UK government.

It won an RTS award for children's drama at the time in 1997. Yet despite this, I don't think it's ever been repeated nor seen an official release anywhere. And as far as I can tell until I uploaded this clip the other day, very little appears to have even surfaced about it on the internet since.

I'm not sure I'd call X-Cars a classic. I mean, it's basically still around as Traffic Cops or any of the other clones.

I made the mistake of finding Virtual Murder on YouTube a few weeks ago. It wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it being. An interesting try, though, and the kind of thing that makes me wish someone would try bringing The Avengers back, though I imagine the rights might be all over the shop.

Does anyone remember a show from the early 90s on Channel 4. I believe it was on a Saturday night, and broadcast live from a roving presenter with a single camera film crew.?

They just used to walk around talking to people, but can't remember if there was an aim or goal of the programme.

I thought it was called As it Happens or something similar but can't find any reference on line.

This was my favourite show when I was young. Probably responsible for my interest in computers which is still with me today.

Jeremy Clarkson's talk show on BBC Two, Clarkson , the reason he left Top Gear the first time round. Only ran for a couple of years and had a repeat run on UK Horizons, but hasn't been seen or talked about much since he came back to Top Gear.

Had interviews with celebrities, comedians and politicians, but also had little comedy skits like the one below.

There was also the running gag through the whole series, of the map of the world behind his desk, that ommited the USA
