David Croft admitted that You Rang M'Lord (BBC 1988-93) was a comedy Upstairs Downstairs (ITV 1971-75). Also used many of the same stories: pregnant maids, servants' outings, relationship betwwen cook and butler etc.

BBC1's Rogue Traders = ITV's House of Horrors

Wasn't Rogue Traders running beofre Hosue of horrors? And anyway, it's not really the exact same format anyway.

No, I'm pretty sure House of Horrors came first in the late 90's. Rogue Traders started about 3 years later.

It's exactly the same basic premise - get the names of previous offenders off Trading Standards, invite them round to a house rigged with cameras, have an industry expert hidden in the basement commentating on what they're doing, then confront them at the end. And they're both fronted by ex BBC Watchdog reporters (Jonathan Maitland and Matt Allwright)! Pretty similar if you ask me.
