I wondering what is happening to the ITV1 Soap Shortland street which I am happy that I can now get as I can now get on carlton Central itv on ntl Digital. It was cancelled on Yorkshire years ago which is my region.
I think Shortland Street is mainly shown by the ex-United (Meridian, Anglia) franchises, they were certainly showing it for ages before Granada bought them.
Other Granada owned regions are also showing it, but I don't think any Carlton owned regons are (Westcountry, Central, Carlton), and not sure about HTV which has only recently joined the Carlton stable.

Maybe they should shove it over on ITV2 and start it from the beginning.

How come you get Carlton Central when you have cable? I have dig cable and only can get one ITV1 region!

Well I can tell you I am not a fan. It is more terrible than terrrible and every time I watch it (about every 3 months) someone gets kidnapped.

MikeG: Some overlap regions on cable offer alternative regions, eg i get Carlton/LWT and Anglia, and LDN and Look East.
Back on topic, I sometimes watch Shortland St on a slightly fuzzy Central picture, so please whoever decides these things, let me have Carlton Central on sky forever.
