I also like Matt, Toni and Waverly - well how could anyone dislike Waverly

I like most of the cast, has anyone noticed how tall Waverly is but my fav. character is Adam, poor Adam getting dumped and in only 2 days, a weekend with him and she dropped him like a hot potato.

This is Adam.

He obviously wasnt man enough for our Rachel - well after being married to Daniel Buchanan and dating Frank Malone, Adam is a poor replacement.

I find Adam annoying and in the looks dept he does nothing for me.

SPOILER

I heard a rumour that in recent NZ eps of SS Toni and Matt get married Shocked It seems the on-off relationship between them goes on for a loooong time!

Also when the Samara storyline is over, I heard that Rachel and Toni become rivals - I can see another catfight brewing, I bet that Toni can fight dirty. Poor Rachel will have no hair left by the end of the 2001 season! Very Happy

It think its great that the show is on a Thursday - I dont mind it its not on a Friday. And Carlton always show their regional stuff on a Friday so we wont get it 5 days a week unless its networked.

And SS has been showed in Oz but was axed I think

I think this weeks episode of Shortland St were very good. Its given us the chance to see the character of Judy time to develop. Nice to see Matt got his job back too.

But some of the long term cast dont seem to have storylines atm - e.g Waverly and Donna and also Nick has been away for what seems like ages

In answer to a question that was asked on this thread a while ago Shortland Street has been shown in the following countries;

Canada; South Africa; the Seychelles; Sri Lanka; Indonesia; Ireland; Iceland; Malta; Fiji; Niue; Cook and Solomon Islands; and the Bahamas. And of course New Zealand, Wales and England!

It is the most popular programme on television in Fiji, the show sends a couple of cast members over there to promote the show every so often.

Apparently when the show first aired on Carlton-Central in 1993 they sent over Angela Dotchin (Kirsty) and Michael Galvin (Dr Chris Warner) to promote the show.

Donna has just come off her big story and it was a credit to the writers that, that storyline paid off with the sudden departure of Blair Strang. Waverly does seem like she is being shoved to the side and Nick if I recall correctly is meant to be visiting Jenny for 2 weeks which is actually just over 3 weeks on the 3 day system so he should be back soon.

I really hope we get to see Jenny and Marj return for their guest appearance - this was August 2002 in NZ I think so over a year for us here in then UK - hopefully SS will still be on air then

Yes i'd love to see Jenny & Marj return for *that* wedding. To be honest, if I was told we could have no more SS after that event, i'd be happy i think. I mean i'd be deep into uni and although i'd still watch it and want it to be on, that is the goal i'd still like to see!

Yeah it would be great to see Marj/Jenny come back for that ep - just think how many original cast will be in that ep - Chris, Rachel, Nick, Jenny and Marj reunited 10 years on.

I would still want the show to carry on though even if it might go downhill - not so good SS is better than no SS at all. Realistically if the show carries on 4 days a week we wont reach the wedding ep until about August 2004.

I think the episodes have been really excellent this week - Samara is a very bad girl!!!!!! Razz
