If a programme was running late or scheduled incorrectly on ITV i'm sure it wouldve been mentioned here that it was 4 minutes late but as its on BBC its now acceptable? Surprised

I agree! Threads would have popped up left right and centre going "Oh, another nail in the coffin for ITV", "How will they ever improve if they can't time keep" but instead we get one thread and about 11 posts all because its the BBC Rolling Eyes

oh woe is me, it's so terrible all this needless ITV bashing, they always stick up for the BBC those fiends.

bullsh!t

yes the BBC is generally better liked than ITV on this board, however it's certainly nothing like the frothing at the mouth anti-commercialism that yous claim.

This thread was about the BBC's shoddy timekeeping. Timekeeping it turned out that was not in fact shoddy, but the listings on the website were. The BBC are CONSTANTLY slated on this board for adopting a strategy for trailers that resembles the sob stories in comic relief/cin - repeat the same 2 over and over until the person's brain falls out their ear.

ITV get slated where they deserve it. Yes the single-figure-post freaks slate it out of ignorance but learn to ignore them like we do.

all this persecuted at every turn nonsense, you'll start wearing headscarves next

What, when practically half of ITV's programmes start at xx:x3 or xx:x4, especially the soaps.

The only gripe I see in ITV's scheduling is Coronation Street starting a few minutes later when it follows or preceeds Eastenders. The BBC are also guilty of the same for the same reason.

The only other area that always runs late is the programme that follows the ITV News at 22:30. The 23:00 programme should always be scheduled as 23:05 as more often than not it starts just before or around 23:05! At least there is a reasonable excuse as the 10:30 news (which starts bang on 22:30) has possibly been extended to contain more news - something which is surely a good thing??????? Confused:

We're not ITV bashing! We are pretty much agreeing with you in the sense that some people make anti-ITV threads out of the smallest things and was just saying that if it was ITV who cut 5 minutes out of a program threads would be popping up everywhere from the 'anti-ITV squad' which I am NOT one of.
