I've tried to like her show, because I quite like the woman on X Factor, but something about her presenting style has the same effect on me as someone scraping their fingernails down a blackboard. I really can't bear to watch her for more than about 3 minutes before having to switch over.

Maybe if she relaxed a bit more, she might be a bit more tolerable.

Laughing Maybe if she was less patronising , and didn't talk down to viewers and guests all the time , she wouldn't be so bad!

I agree there. If you actually look at the programme, it's pretty much a decent programme in terms of guests, features, titles, theme, even set. It's just Sharon's presenting thats letting it all down. Perhaps not so much her, but the way in which she reads the autocue, when she's not, she seems much better suited.

And is this week recorded? As she keeps saying phone in and you could be chosen to play from home on Monday, where as this week they're using studio audience members for the game.

They're all recorded on Mondays and Tuesdays a week in advance I believe. I expect next week they'll call people back for the game, like Paul O'Grady does on Thurs & Fri.

I wonder if she'll get told off for saying "oh bloody hell" during one of the games.

This caught my attention (regarding her failed American show)...

The Sharon Osbourne Show was a syndicated TV show hosted by Sharon Osbourne and ran for one season (from 2003-2004). The show was eventually cancelled due to poor ratings and scathing attacks by critics as being too focused on Osbourne's family.

Not a week in advance, the same week. As well as Monday/Tuesday, Monday's TX'd show is recorded Sunday.

It wasn't live, that was left in AFTER it was recorded. So no, she won't

Seems UTV will be showing The Sharon Osbourne Show after all. It will begin on Monday 11th September, airing from 4:30pm to 5:30pm before UTV Live. The promos have started airing today.

The story from the Belfast Telegraph:

Quote:
Sharon’s show has X Factor for UTV

Sharon Osbourne’s new tea-time chat show, which beat Channel 4 rivals Richard and Judy, will soon air on UTV.

The Sharon Osbourne Show was launched on Wednesday across the ITV network, attracting a peak of 2.1m viewers and an average of 1.9m.

C4 heavyweights Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan were watched by a peak of 1.65m viewers and 14% of the audience, compared with 17% for ITV1.

Ulster viewers will be able to tune in to catch the X Factor judge chatting to celebrities. Guests in the first week included singer Beyonce and Hollywood star Patrick Swayze.

Michael Wilson, head of television at UTV said: “We can’t wait to bring Mrs O to UTV every week day.”

“We’ve had lots of inquiries from Sharon’s fans asking when the series will be on UTV and we’re delighted that the show, jam-packed with celebrity interviews, music and competitions, will be on our screens from Monday, September 11, treating our viewers to great late afternoon entertainment.”

Thought I'd reincarnate this thread to get your feelings of this show now that it has been broadcasting for 3-4 weeks.

I still think that it's appalling. Yes, the brand name may attract some big-name guests, but every time I've tuned in Sharon has seemed so uncomfortable and is still finding it hard to naturally read an autocue. There has been little, if any improvement to the show in my opinion, and with Paul returning next week I feel that the show is going to turn into a complete ratings flop.

Cringe-worthy.
