What a load of CRAP!

It needs overhauling badly!

Paul got that common touch, but she nothing like Paul. The show got possibilities. But it looks like ITV are controlling the shoots! I think there should give Sharon some more control!

If its completely overhauled into a new programme it might work, otherwise more egg for the faces of ITV bosses I expect. If they carry on the way they're going they'll soon be able to make a lovely big omelette.

I watched the 1st 10 minutes or so today - you could tell all she was doing was reading the autocue in front of her - there was no ad-libbing, no spontaneous remarks, no real comedy but a wooden performance with no hint of things getting any better.

Bring back Blockbusters - that's what I say!! Laughing

To comment an earlier post, her presenting style is very much as if she's telling everyone a bedtime story....or she's putting on a silly act which is the most irritating, useless piece of live TV i've seen in a long while.

Stick to being an X Factor judge Sharon.

I don't know why it's seen as such a crazy scenario...This Morning does fairly well and they want to hold onto that. Plus they're not going to run their news at the same time as BBC1, so 1330 it is.

And it was a ludicrous decision to stretch it to an hour in the first place!

The ITV News didn't need to be an hour and to be honest I don't want my news like a consumer programme. ITV's other main problem is that more people will just watch the news on BBC so the ITV Lunchtime News should never have run directly against it.

According to MediaGuardian she lost one fifth of her audience for the second show. No full report yet, so don't know if Richard and Judy benefitted.

The story is up now.

Sharon's audience shrinks

Sharon Osbourne's new ITV1 chatshow lost one-fifth of its debut audience, with its second outing drawing 1.5 million viewers.
In round two of the battle for the teatime crown, The Sharon Osbourne Show tied with Channel 4's Richard and Judy.

But the news that 400,000 viewers didn't return for a second helping of 'Mrs O', as the X Factor judge calls herself, will be some cause for concern at ITV.

The channel is hoping that after the impressive 1.9 million her show opened with on Tuesday, Sharon will win a loyal following before rival Paul O'Grady returns to Channel 4.

Although both Richard and Judy and The Sharon Osbourne Show averaged 1.5 million between 5pm and 6pm, the ITV1 show was marginally ahead on share - 14% versus Richard and Judy's 13%.

However, both shows were beaten by BBC2's perennial favourite The Weakest Link, which attracted 2.1 million viewers, and by Neighbours on BBC1, which averaged 2.2 million between 5.35pm and 6pm.

Later in the day, Channel 4 cleaned up with When Kim and Aggie Went to Hospital.

The hour-long look into the cleanliness, or lack of it, at NHS hospitals won 2.4 million viewers at 8pm.

The show put Rick Stein's French Odyssey on BBC2 in the shade, with the sixth episode of the chef's travels scoring 1.9 million at 8pm.

Meanwhile, over on Channel Five, the second episode of Donal MacIntyre's investigative series MacIntyre's Big Sting won 900,000 viewers - 100,000 down on last week.

I watched Shaz's show for the first time last night, and the whole debacle had a patronising tone to it. She should definitely stick to the X-Factor, or get on her on as the new host of Jackanory .

Richard Madeley may be irritating, but R&J Show has a good mixture of light-hearted items and serious debate. Paul O'Grady does indeed have the common touch, and is a natural entertainer... ITV's loss Rolling Eyes

Surprised Surprised, great sequel that! Wink

I watched about ten minutes of it today and that was about as much as I could handle. I need my fix of The Price is Right!

I think Shazza would be better of hosting a quiz then this load of tripe. There's far too much going on... The lovely Maureen Lipman... here's a person with cancer... Ooh there's Kelly... time now to bribe the audience to watch with a naff quiz etc etc!

As per usual the show's been rushed to plug a gap!
