The fantastic second series of Shameless ended tonight with another fantastic episode.
It's been an outstanding second series - with arguably the best ever scene in a drama with Steve's exit from the show.
It mixes drama and comedy fantastically and the ensemble cast are fantastic. The character of Carl has especially developed this year - and even "little Liam" has had a few lines. Debbie though is probably the character that holds the family together - and she is outstanding in every scene she's in.
No real surprise in the final episode - won't say too much in case people have taped it - and also great to see they managed to incorporate a bit of "Comic Relief" in tonight's main story.
The fantastic news is the series returns in early 2006 - probably from January again - so no news of another Christmas special.
And although at 10 episodes (plus Christmas) it's had a good run, why are UK series so short?
