I don't like sex on tv. But some Dutch (except the public channels and RTL) channels have a lot sex related programmes. In my opinion they are gone to far.

Be happy with the BBC and ITV

Why shouldn't sex be portrayed on TV? It is everywhere you know and we all do it, or at least will do it.

Personally, I only watch sex on TV from a purely analytical view. You do understand that don't you? Lol! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I don't mind sex and nudity, as long as it's done in a tasteful way!Wink

I am fine with sex and nudity on TV. I think on certain programmes which don't usually show sex scenes it should be censored, but where films are shown on normal TV channels it shouldn't be.

That's my personal opinion anyway. Slighlty off-topic did anyone see the Police programme on BBC 2 on Sunday night, which started at 9:00pm? At around 10:20 it featured a girl of about 15 who was sexually assaulted by a 37 year-old. Very moving, as well as shocking.

I just don't think that censorship has any place whatsoever on modern pay-TV, post watershed. In particular I hate the way this country bans TV channels which provide real-porn services. How dare they -- this is an affront to my human rights!!!

Who are you or anyone else to say what is tasteful and what isn't? The watershed should be just that on the pay film channels, just like in Europe. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING goes, as long as it's within the confines of the law. This country sickens me with its moralising attitude!!!

Actually Jase, I think I am perfectally OK to say what I think is tasteful and what I think isnt. And my opinion is that pornography is disgusting and completly distateful. Obviuosly its my opinion, and you are allowed to have your own and I will not crisitsise you for it but who the hell are you to critisise my opinion?

It is one thing to have an opinion. It is quite another to impose your opinion on others so that they are unable to view things that are perfectly legal in other, more enlightened countries. I was not referring to anyone specifically, just those who advocate banning things just because they don't like them. You think pornography is disgusting, fine, and you have every right to express your views, but you have ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to expect others not to be able to view it because of your particular interpretation of morality.
