Anyone spotted the incredible similarity between the Seven Sept 2000/Feb 2002 clip at http://austvhistory8.tripod.com/seven/seven.htm and the NBC 'People' Ident at http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/us_nbc.html ?! (great page by the way)

NBC is where Seven got the coloured 'men in tights' idea from, although Seven only had 5 coulours, unlike NBC's 6.

I was surprised to hear that a good peak time rating for any Australian network is about 2 million. I know there's only about 20 million people in Australia, but it's still a small amount watching television.
That's probably a peak time rating just counting the capital city audience, which is only Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The regional markets ratings are rarely published, which is a bit strange seeing that the 4th largest market is a regional one, with a population bigger than either Adelaide or Perth.
If you took regional ratings into account as well though, it would still probably only be around 3 million. It's just a climate/lifestyle thing. Australians are more inclined to do other things, rather than watch television all the time.

It's been coming third overall in the ratings recently, which is a major cause for concern,

Well that page confirms it.......!
I always thought that Sky had either ripped off the "NBC - The Place To Be" logo/animation or had got the same design team to do the Sky Movies/News/Channel(One) ones !
Ive used TV Ark for ages but never read that page !
