Paul left Sky Sports last year to specifically host Setanta's Irish Premier League coverage.
I see, I didn't know that, thanks for the info mromega.

Interesting to see Paul Dempsey of Sky Sports presenting this afternoon's coverage of Liverpool's match with Derby for Setanta Sports.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned, Freeview (i.e. Non Setanta Subscribers) get a 45 minute freeview from around 4.30pm until match kick off on Saturdays.
The coverage is superb on Setanta (only seen 1 Setanta game down the pub), nice graphics, good presenters, and that music... great!!!

Would there be any obstacle to Setanta showing a 5.15 kick off free-to-air, apart from a complaint from their subscriber?
For example I doubt there's that many people who are going to subscribe specifically for the Fulham vs Man City game on 22nd September, so stick it free-to-air, get lots of publicity for the first free Premiership game, then watch the loyal Man Utd fans from London subscribe in their shedloads for their away game the following week.

it isn't pay-per-view. Once you've signed up it's for a month at least - I can't believe people still think it's just Prem Plus under another name.

I didn't say it was, but with the "no annual contract" thing people could feasibly sign up with the intention of watching the one match.
