Setanta Sports Presentation

Having been gifted Setanta by Virgin Media, thought I'd put up some of their presentation. Not seen much, if any about these forums.

Not sure on the colour scheme, black and yellow, seems all rather ITV1 (and BBC Sport), but not totally unpleasant. And that bloke, Phil Jones, isn't he off the BBC ?

Do there still use STV equipment?

Looks like a mix of ITV and BBC Sports graphics, by the look of it.

Pretty nice, but slightly bland.

Blimey, it really does look like a more colourful ITV Sport in everything but name.

I like the ident for Setanta 1 and 2, it's very BBC/ITV but it fits in well with the channel.

They had to use Celtic TV earlier to show some Gaelic Football relayed from RTÉ earlier, but the picture quality on Celtic TV was poor, it looked like it was taken from a VHS tape and there was a massive Setanta Sports DOG badly blocking the RTÉ dog, so you could only see 'TÉ' on the top right.

So far since they added it to the TV XL Package on Virgin I've been impressed with what they have to offer. Ok it's not as good as Sky Sports but I think it's got alot of potential and they're getting more and more content by the day.

impressed by the picture quality on most of the games Ive seen on setanta so far, be better if and when they start broadcasting a sports news channel as promised though. Then I can quite happily turn my back on sky sports for good!

Pres looks quite dire actually.

I watched the same match without the Setanta 1 Live logo on the right, presentation wise not as good as Sky,

Just to update this topic with some captures of when Setanta broke Sky's monopoly on Premier League coverage and broadcast their first game yesterday.

The football focus type results show comes live from the ground prior to the match. I'm not a fan of that dark pokey set, has to be said.

Have just been watching Setanta's version of Soccer Saturday and the graphics look good on screen. Text is easy to read. Like the way the graphics stay on screen during the adverts and its in widescreen!

If this is the style of the new sports news channel then it should do well.

They do need to rename Setanta Golf to Setanta Sports 3 thought, keep seeing the same thing on Setanta Golf as Setanta 1.

i find their entire graphics and titles package pretty flat and inspiring to be honest. Whoever said ITV Sport is well wide of the mark - the only similarity is with ITV 1's colour scheme.
