Sorry if this has already a thread about this, did a search but couldn't see on.

Have just been flicking through the channels and seen that Setanta has had a full make over. They have switched to wide screen and the new yellow and black logo look much smarter.

The picture quality now seems to be much sharper now also.

I don't know if it's on Sky, but Setanta Golf is currently free to view here on NTL, they're getting themselves warmed up for the PGA tour in a couple of months time. It'll be interesting to see how Setanta will handle the Premiership coverage later this year and whether it could give Sky Sports a run for it's money.

Just slightly OT, I was looking round Sainsbury's this afternoon and you can buy a TopUp TV STB that has a Setanta promotion all over it, I guess the sooner it's out on DTT the better for Setanta.

Its been on DTT for ages, but pay per view rather than on TopUpTV. Its a good move by TopUp to get Setanta on their line-up, esp. as the premiership is coming is to Setanta from next season.

I am aware of that, although outside of Scotland I'd have thought that Setanta would have little or no impact on Freeview Ch34, by only broadcasting for about two and a half hours per week, where as if you had a full time channel there's a chance it would be noticed more.

Am I right in thinking that more of the Live content from TopUp will be dissappearing at some point soon? I know they cleared two channels for Five Life and Five US, I thought they were going to phase the rest out and leave at least one spot available for Setanta to operate a full-time channel.

Nice work on the rebrand by BDA there.

Yes. When Setanta Sports launch their live subscription channel on DTT this will be using one of the streams that Top Up TV currently use. The only channels which I would imagine Top Up TV would keep as "live" channels would be British Eurosport and possibly one other. Programmes from old Top Up channels are available on Top Up TV Anytime.

Not free on satellite, but the PGA tour is currently taking place - I think we are on the third week of the season.
