SeeSaw offers TV Forum visitors guaranteed invites to their beta trial

Hi all,

SeeSaw is the Video On Demand venture set for launch in 2010 and is now taking registrations to its BETA testing phase but has a limited number of places available. However, TV Forum readers have been given 50 guaranteed places to be the first to test the new service. As we've had a number of threads over the years about iPlayer, 4OD and ITV Player I thought quite a few may be interested in participating in the trial.

Visit our SeeSaw page to register your interest before Christmas Day (23:59 24/12/09) and along with myself and the moderators I'll randomly pick the rest of the invites. Lucky applicants will be invited to test the service in January.

Thanks, Asa

I don't suppose there's any chance of us having enough influence to cause a rethink of the name. It sounds like a programme you'd find on CBeebies!

It's to appeal to TumbleTower.

Those of us of a certain age will remember See Saw being the lunchtime children's TV strand on BBC1 (later transferred to 2) which was the home to such delights as The Flumps, Choc-a-bloc, Pigeon Street, and other vaguely educational shows.

I wasn't that far off then. By the looks of the logo that's from the eighties - was that pre-Childrens BBC? I remember BBC2 screening things like Pigeon Street, Bertha and Charlie Chalk around 1.20pm on weekdays, but don't remember it being See-Saw branded.
