This picture is from The TV Room:

And there it is,Test card J. But when was it last shown? The TV Room says:

'Testcard J is rarely shown.  Weekend downtime on BBC TWO is now occupied by Ceefax pages.  Testcard J did put in an appearance on BBC ONE and BBC TWO during engineering tests in the early hours of Sunday morning, August 6th, 2000.'

But The TV Room also says 'Testcard W was broadcast on Digital BBC TWO during engineering tests on Sunday 06 August, 2000'

Ok,so since then it has J on analouge,and W on digital,right?

Wrong.

The TV Room says: 'Testcard W appeared again just after 0300 on Sunday 17 December, 2000; this time, it also went out on Analogue BBC TWO in 16:9 letterbox format. Another appearance, albeit a brief one this time, on Saturday 14 July, 2001 between 0200 and 0210 on Analogue and Digital.

So will we ever see Testcard J again(November 1999-August 2000),or will it be the second shortest testcard,Testcard E being the first?

What do you all think?

TV schedules run 6am-6am the following morning and are classed as 'one day' so saying tonight might not be all that unaccurate Smile

Should be J - I'm not sure Digital's closing down and I assume it'll be J.

Digital may not close down, but analogue could go out in 16:9, like on 30/6/01
