Secret lives of News Desks...

As some of you may know I was luckily/crazy enough to get my hands on a newsdesk from Television Centre before it closed, and I posted some pics of it after being collected and sat in my garage. Move on a year or so and the desk is now in its new home (my work as my work desk!) but I also rented it out on a shoot I was on, so whilst the content may not be what you expect, it's nice to see the desk get another outing and some screen time




It's former home in N9 as the second set desk, as used at Christmas, EU and Local Elections.


Me sat behind it being a geek during lunch so I could then do this...

Very nice. Did they see that you had a desk from the forum or through other means ?

The height of the desk and being on essentially a bar stool type chair makes that pose the most comfortable.


No one of my friends was a contact on the shoot and when he explained the premise I reminded him I had a suitable desk lying around.

And now, the Six O'Clock Booze. Or was it Booze at Ten?

Virgin Media did have Sky Snooze listed on their EPG for a while, didn't they.

That was when they couldn't agree carriage terms with Sky, as the price Virgin paid for Sky basics was higher (Sky3 and Sky Arts contributed to this). On the EPG Sky News was called 'Sky Snooze' and Sky2 was branded 'Old Sky Two Try Living'. Ironically Living became a member of the Sky family four years later!
